Alberto Mejía-Paniagua
Research Associate
Alberto Mejia-Paniagua is researcher from Honduras with a keen interest in scientific illustration, zoology, and marine life conservation, particularly focusing on sharks and rays. He is also passionate about applying new decolonial strategies in conservation and science. In addition to his research, Alberto is an active science communicator on social media, collaborating with various initiatives across Latin America. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on Ecology and Biodiversity at the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA) in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
