We seek to understand more about the population of eagle rays and their movements using photographic identification, that way we can build a database of the species observed in Roatán and in the rest of the MPA

Take photos

Eagle rays have unique patterns of rings or spots in their pelvic fins. Get an image or video of the pelvic fins or the area near the tail. This will help us identify each individual. This is the most important type of photo for our database. Image: Source Cerutti et al, 2017.
