
Gabriela Ochoa

Gabriela is a Honduran marine biologist and conservationist with over 10 years of experience working in the non-profit organizations such as the Roatan Marine Park, MarAlliance and the GEF Small Grant Programme. She is passionate about making a difference in the conservation of marine ecosystems and their inhabitants while supporting the next generation of future marine leaders in Honduras. She has spearheaded conservation programs in Honduras focusing in both marine megafauna and coral reefs. Gabriela graduated from Texas A&M university with a degree in Marine Biology and a Masters in Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Exeter in England. She has also been a fellow for the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders (EWCL) program and the Conservation Leadership Program (CLP).
